Audience targeting sends matching visitors to an alternate URL while other visitors continue to the main destination. Biqli supports rules for:
  • Location, using the geographic options shown in the builder.
  • Device, such as desktop, mobile, or tablet categories supported by Biqli.
  • Platform, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux.
Add only the rules you need, provide a valid destination for each one, and save the link. When several rules could match, test the result with representative devices and locations before publishing the campaign.
Device and location detection is based on request information and IP data. It can be affected by VPNs, privacy tools, proxies, and unusual user agents.

Create a targeting rule

  1. Open the link editor and select the targeting or restrictions area.
  2. Choose Location, Device, or Platform.
  3. Select the matching value and enter its alternate destination URL.
  4. Add additional rules only for audiences that need a different destination.
  5. Save and test the main and alternate paths.
Visitors who do not match an alternate rule continue to the main destination. Each alternate URL must pass the same URL and safety validation expected of a normal link destination.

Design rules that do not overlap unexpectedly

Location, device, and platform describe different properties of the same request. When several rules could match, avoid assuming which one will win without testing the exact configuration. A mobile device can also be iOS and located in a targeted country. Use targeting for a meaningful destination difference, such as an app store by platform or a localized page by country. Do not use it as a security boundary. IP and user-agent data can be missing, inaccurate, or deliberately changed. Check analytics after launch for unexpected audience distribution and keep the main destination suitable as a safe fallback.
