Add Direct Message from your Biolink’s Content picker. It lets visitors send private messages to the Biolink owner using Biqli.

Set up and verify

  1. Open the page in its owning workspace.
  2. Add Direct Message.
  3. Set the title, classic or featured display and optional thumbnail.
  4. Publish the page.
  5. Open the public URL in a signed-out browser.
  6. Draft a message and select send.
  7. Complete the visitor sign-in flow and confirm that the message appears in the chat.
  8. Reply as the owner and verify the visitor receives it.
Success means the intended owner receives the message and both participants can continue the same conversation. A form-response counter or external messaging app is not involved.

Visitor authentication

Visitors authenticate before a message is sent. Depending on the flow and configured providers, they can continue with a signed-in Biqli account, an email code or an offered social provider. For email, enter an accessible address, request the code and enter the current code. Follow any display-name, policy or additional account verification steps. An account with two-factor authentication can require its second factor; organization-managed accounts can be directed through their secure sign-in. Expired codes, too many attempts and resend limits require following the displayed instructions. A code sent to one address is not permission to use another account. Complete authentication before assuming the saved draft has been delivered.

Custom domains

A custom-domain page can redirect to the main Biqli app for secure sign-in. After successful authentication, the supported return flow reopens the originating Biolink and conversation and sends the saved draft. Do not manually change the sign-in URL or repeatedly click send while the return is processing. If delivery fails, follow the retry action and inspect the conversation before composing a duplicate. The visitor session on a public page is limited to its permitted messaging interaction. It does not make the full workspace or anyone else’s inbox public.

Chat controls and identity

The public Biolink chat intentionally omits the header’s conversation-options menu. Received messages still have their supported message actions, including reporting. Use the main Messages interface for available whole-conversation controls. The owner sees the identity presented by the visitor’s authenticated account. Google or another social provider may identify a different Biqli account from an email login; verify the account identity when testing two-factor behavior. Hiding or removing the block stops that page entry point after publication. It does not erase messages already delivered. See Privacy controls.
