Before removing a domain, find every link and Biolink that uses it and move those resources to another active domain. Also select a different default domain if necessary. Removing the domain stops Biqli from serving its URLs in that workspace. Previously shared URLs can fail even if their destinations still exist elsewhere. After removal, delete obsolete DNS records only when the hostname is no longer attached to any other workspace or service you control.

Prepare for removal

  1. Filter links and Biolinks by the domain.
  2. Move every live resource to another active hostname or retire it.
  3. Change the workspace default domain.
  4. Check whether the verified domain is attached to another workspace.
  5. Record domain settings you might need later.

Remove and verify

Confirm the removal action in the domain dashboard. Then test a representative old URL and every replacement URL. An old URL should not be expected to keep working after its domain attachment and DNS routing are removed. DNS deletion is a separate operation at your provider. Keep records when the hostname remains attached elsewhere. If the hostname is being repurposed, plan certificate and DNS changes with the new service before publishing it. Deleting a domain attachment does not automatically delete destinations hosted on other websites.

Does removal delete the registrar domain?

No. Registration and DNS ownership remain with the external provider. Do not assume so. Move each live resource before removal and test its replacement URL.

Can I reconnect later?

The domain must be available and pass the applicable ownership, DNS, and HTTPS flow again.
