The default domain is preselected when you create a new short link or Biolink. It saves time but does not change resources that already use another domain. Use the standard Biqli domain when you want the quickest setup. Set an active branded domain as the default when consistent brand recognition matters across new URLs. You can still choose another available domain for an individual resource during creation or editing.

Set the default

Open the custom domain area, choose an active domain, and use the default-domain action available for the workspace. Confirm the marker moves to the intended hostname. Only active domains should be used as a production default. A pending or failed domain can make newly created URLs unusable until setup is fixed.

What changes

The default affects the initial domain selection for new supported resources. It does not rewrite existing short URLs, aliases, QR images, social posts, or Biolink addresses. Edit an existing resource separately if it should move. When several teams create links, agree on when to use the branded default and when a campaign-specific domain is appropriate.

Frequently asked questions

No. Existing resources keep the domain and alias stored on them.

Can I set a pending domain as default?

Use an active domain for production. Finish DNS and HTTPS provisioning before making it the normal choice for new links.

Is the default shared across workspaces?

No. It belongs to the current workspace’s domain configuration.
