Biqli copies your selected Bitly links into the current workspace. The import does not edit or delete anything in Bitly. Each imported link keeps its destination and alias. You choose an existing Biqli domain and shared link settings before the import starts.

Before you begin

Make sure that:
  • You can sign in to the Bitly account that owns the links.
  • You selected the correct Biqli workspace.
  • The workspace has enough remaining link usage.
  • Any custom domain you want to use is already connected to the Biqli workspace.
Biqli does not move a Bitly domain or change its DNS. The domain selected during import is an existing Biqli domain.

Connect Bitly

  1. Open Links in your Biqli workspace.
  2. Open the create menu and choose Import from Bitly.
  3. Wait while Biqli loads your import configuration.
  4. Select Sign in with Bitly.
  5. Sign in to Bitly if prompted.
  6. Review the authorization request and approve access.
The Bitly window closes after authorization. Biqli stores the connection securely so you do not need to reconnect for each import. If your browser blocks the authorization window, allow pop-ups for Biqli and try again. Biqli loads links from the connected Bitly account. Use the search field to find a destination or short URL. You can sort loaded links by creation date or short URL. Each row has one of these states:
  • Available: You can select and import the link.
  • Already imported: Biqli previously imported or safely reconciled this Bitly link.
  • Conflict: The link needs attention before Biqli can import it.
Enable Show already imported links when you need to review previously imported records. They remain unavailable for selection, which prevents accidental duplicate imports.

Resolve conflicts

Biqli checks each loaded link before you select it. A row is marked in red when:
  • Its destination is invalid, private, local, or blocked by the safety policy.
  • Its alias is reserved by Biqli.
  • The selected Biqli domain already uses the alias for another link or folder.
  • The provider selection contains the same alias more than once.
The row shows the exact reason. Resolve the destination or alias conflict in Bitly or Biqli, then reload the importer. Biqli never silently replaces a conflicting alias with a random one.

Choose import settings

The right side of the importer contains settings applied to every link in the import:
  • Domain chooses an existing Biqli domain.
  • Folder places every imported link in one folder.
  • Tags adds the same tags to every imported link.
  • Pixels attaches the same tracking pixels to every imported link.
  • Conversion Tracking enables conversion tracking.
  • Enabled controls whether the imported links are active.
  • Search Engine Indexing allows search engines to index the short links.
Use the footer actions to add shared UTM, Password, Expiration, or Schedule settings. These settings apply to every imported link.

Check your remaining usage

The usage card shows the workspace’s remaining link allowance and reset date. A yearly subscription shows yearly usage. A monthly subscription shows monthly usage. Links that exceed the remaining allowance are skipped. Other valid links can still finish importing.

Start the import

Choose one of these actions:
  • Select individual rows, then select Import selected.
  • Select Import all to import every available link matching the current search.
Biqli repeats destination, safety, alias, and duplicate checks on the server before creating each link. The import runs in the background, so you can close the dialog or leave the page. Only one link import can run in a workspace at a time.

Follow progress

While an import runs, the sidebar shows Bitly import below workspace usage. The row displays Importing X of Y and a blue-to-green progress bar. Select the row to reopen the progress dialog. When the import finishes, Biqli shows the number of imported, skipped, and failed links. You also receive a dashboard notification. Biqli does not send an import email. If you reopen Import from Bitly while the job is running, Biqli shows progress instead of starting a second import.

What Biqli imports

Biqli imports:
  • The destination URL.
  • The Bitly alias.
  • The shared Biqli settings you selected before starting.
Biqli creates each link at the time it is imported. It does not copy the original Bitly creation date. Biqli does not import historical click totals or analytics. New analytics begin when people use the new Biqli short link. The Bitly link and account remain unchanged.

Verify the result

  1. Open Links after the import completes.
  2. Filter or search for several imported aliases.
  3. Open each short link in a private browser window.
  4. Confirm that it reaches the expected destination.
  5. Confirm that the selected folder, tags, pixels, and link settings are present.
  6. Review the import summary for skipped or failed rows.
Keep your Bitly account available until you finish verification.

Disconnect Bitly

Open Import from Bitly, then select the red Disconnect action in the footer. Biqli shows the connected account before asking you to confirm. Disconnecting removes the saved Bitly authorization. It does not delete imported links or import history. You cannot disconnect while a Bitly import is running.

Troubleshooting

The Bitly window did not open

Allow pop-ups for Biqli, then select Sign in with Bitly again.

Authorization expired or was revoked

Disconnect Bitly, reconnect the account, and retry the import. The selected Biqli domain already has a link or folder using that alias. Rename or remove the conflicting record, or choose another Biqli domain. Biqli records the Bitly account and provider link identifier for each successful import. Enable Show already imported links to review it. You do not need to import it again. Review the completed summary. Common causes are quota exhaustion, a late alias collision, a safety validation result, or a provider link that changed after the list loaded.

The import stopped

Open Import from Bitly again to view the final error. Confirm that the Bitly connection remains valid, then retry only after correcting the issue.
