Pending invitations remain separate from active members. From the invitations list, authorized members can review the recipient and role, resend an invitation, or cancel it. Cancel an invitation if the recipient is wrong or no longer needs access. Resending helps when the original message expired or was missed, but it does not require creating a second membership. After acceptance, manage the person from the members list.

Invitation statuses

A pending invitation has been sent but not accepted. An accepted invitation becomes an active membership. A canceled or expired invitation cannot grant access and must be replaced or resent through the available workflow.

Manage a pending invitation

  1. Open workspace members and the invitation list.
  2. Confirm the email and proposed role.
  3. Resend when the correct recipient missed or lost the message.
  4. Cancel when the address, role, or need for access is no longer correct.
Do not create several simultaneous invitations to work around a delivery issue. First verify the recipient address and whether their organization blocks the message. Invitations are scoped to one workspace. A person invited to several workspaces must receive and accept the appropriate access for each one.

Frequently asked questions

Does resending create a second member?
