# Change workspace details

> Update a workspace name, URL slug, and logo.

Workspace profile settings include its name, slug, and logo. These values help members identify the workspace and can appear in workspace-specific areas of Biqli.

Changing the name or logo does not change existing short URLs. Changing a workspace slug can affect workspace dashboard URLs, so update saved internal links afterward.

Only members with the required administrative access can change these settings.

## Update the profile

1. Switch to the intended workspace.
2. Open workspace settings and select the profile area.
3. Update the supported name, slug, or logo field.
4. Preview the new identity where available.
5. Save and confirm the workspace selector and settings show the change.

Use a recognizable name and logo so members do not confuse production, client,
or sandbox workspaces. A slug should be stable and suitable for internal
workspace URLs.

## What does not change

Workspace profile edits do not rename custom domains, rewrite short URLs,
change resource IDs, or move subscriptions. Update those resources in their own
settings when needed.

Tell team members before changing a widely used workspace name or slug so saved
dashboard links and internal procedures can be updated.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does changing the workspace logo change a Biolink logo?

No. Workspace identity, Biolink appearance, custom-domain favicon, and QR logos
are configured in their own areas.

### Why can I view but not edit the profile?

Your membership can have workspace access without the administrative permission
required to change workspace settings.
