# Create and switch workspaces

> Create a workspace and move between workspaces you can access.

Create a workspace from the workspace selector and enter the requested name and profile details. The new workspace starts with its own resources, members, settings, and plan context.

Use the same selector to move between workspaces you can access. The active workspace controls what appears across the dashboard.

If a workspace is missing, confirm that you accepted its invitation and that your membership is still active.

## Create a workspace

1. Open the workspace selector.
2. Choose the create action.
3. Enter the requested workspace name and profile details.
4. Confirm creation and wait for the new workspace dashboard.
5. Review its members, plan, default domain, and security before adding live
   resources.

The new workspace does not inherit resources or API keys from the workspace you
were viewing. Create integrations and permissions for its own requirements.

## Switch safely

Open the selector and choose a workspace where you have active membership.
Confirm the name in the dashboard before creating, deleting, importing, or
changing billing.

If access disappeared, an administrator may have removed the membership or the
invitation may not have been accepted. Ask an authorized member to review the
workspace member list rather than creating a duplicate workspace.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does a new workspace inherit my plan?

Workspace billing is separate. Review the new workspace's own plan and usage
instead of assuming another workspace's subscription applies.

### Why did the dashboard become empty after switching?

The selected workspace has its own resources. Switch back to the original
workspace to see resources created there.
