# Upgrade or change a subscription

> Change the plan assigned to a Biqli workspace.

Open workspace billing and select the plan change action. Compare features and quotas, choose the new option, and review the payment summary before confirming.

The confirmation screen states whether the change is immediate or scheduled and shows any applicable billing adjustment. Upgrades can unlock features, but they do not recreate data that was never recorded.

Before moving to a smaller plan, reduce usage or resolve resources above the new limits.

## Upgrade

Choose the target plan, review the new allowances and billing summary, and
confirm. The interface states when access changes and whether an immediate
charge or prorated adjustment applies.

## Downgrade

Compare current usage with the target plan first. Identify links, domains,
members, QR codes, Biolinks, analytics history, or enterprise features that
exceed or depend on the current plan. The confirmation is authoritative for
when the downgrade takes effect.

## Verify the result

After the change, reload billing and confirm the active or scheduled plan,
renewal, and invoice. Test a capability that motivated the change without
deleting production data.

If the charge succeeded but the dashboard did not update, keep the invoice or
provider reference and contact support. Do not submit the same purchase
repeatedly.
