# Standalone QR codes overview
> Create, customize, and measure standalone QR codes with Biqli.
Standalone QR codes are managed independently from short links. They are useful for contact cards, WiFi access, messages, events, application links, and other scannable content that needs its own record.
Choose a static QR code for fixed content or a dynamic QR code when you want an editable destination and scan analytics. You can customize the design, preview the result, and download it for print or digital use.
## Choose the right workflow
Use a standalone QR code when the record should be managed independently from
a short link. Use an attached link QR when an existing Biqli short link should
control the destination and lifecycle.
## What you can manage
The QR dashboard supports creation, search, preview, styling, download, update,
analytics for dynamic codes, and deletion according to the code type. Static
content is embedded in the image. Dynamic content is stored in Biqli and can be
updated later.
Before publishing, scan the final downloaded file from more than one device.
Check the payload, visual contrast, logo, quiet margin, and printed size. Keep
the source record and original download so later edits and replacements remain
traceable.
QR codes are workspace scoped and do not use link folders.
## Frequently asked questions
### Can I organize QR codes in folders?
Not with link folders. Use clear names and dashboard search.
### Can I change a printed code?
Only a dynamic code can change its managed destination without replacing the
image. Static payloads and visual styling require a new file.
### Do all codes have analytics?
No. Only dynamic QR requests pass through Biqli for scan reporting.
