# Link QR codes and standalone QR codes

> Choose the correct Biqli QR workflow for your use case.

A link QR code belongs to a short link and shares that link's managed destination. Deleting the link removes its attached QR record.

A standalone QR code has its own content, styling, status, and lifecycle. Dynamic standalone codes provide scan analytics, while static standalone codes cannot be edited or measured after generation.

Use a link QR when the short link is the resource you manage. Use standalone when the QR content should be managed independently.

## Choose before printing

If your team already manages the destination as a short link with password,
schedule, targeting, tags, pixels, or conversions, attach the QR to that link.
If the code is a WiFi credential, contact card, event, phone action, or separate
managed destination, use standalone.

Changing the resource model later can require replacing the printed image, so
test ownership and deletion expectations before distribution.
