# Schedule and expire links

> Control when a link activates and when it stops redirecting.

Use link scheduling when a short URL should work only during a specific period
or until it reaches a click limit.

## Date rules

Set **Activates at** to keep the link unavailable until a future date. Set
**Expires at** to stop the normal redirect after a date. When both are used, the
expiration must be later than activation.

## Click expiration

Enter the maximum number of clicks the link can receive before it expires. You
can also provide a fallback URL for visitors who arrive after the limit.

Biqli evaluates these rules together with the link's active state. Check the
workspace timezone before choosing dates, and test both the normal and expired
experience before launch.

## Build a timed campaign

1. Open the link editor and find **Restrictions**.
2. Set an activation date only when the URL must not work beforehand.
3. Set an expiration date when normal redirection must stop after a deadline.
4. Add a maximum click count when availability depends on traffic rather than
   time.
5. Add the optional fallback URL for visitors who arrive after the click limit.
6. Save and confirm the dates shown in the link summary.

Date values represent specific moments. Confirm the workspace timezone and any
offset shown by the interface or API. A visitor in another timezone does not
move the stored activation or expiration moment.

## How rules interact

The link must be active and within its schedule. A click cap can expire it even
when the date window is still open. A fallback applies to the configured
click-expiration behavior and should not be assumed to replace every inactive,
password, safety, or date-expiration response.

To reopen a campaign, edit or clear the rule that made it unavailable. Test the
short URL again before announcing the extension.
