# Link safety and blocked destinations

> Understand Biqli safety checks and destination restrictions.

Biqli checks destinations to reduce redirects to malware, phishing, deceptive
content, and other unsafe pages. A clear safety status means the latest check
did not identify a blocking result. It is not a permanent guarantee about the
destination.

Unsafe destinations can be rejected during creation or updates. An existing
link can also stop redirecting if later checks identify a risk.

If a destination is blocked:

1. Confirm the URL is correct and has not been compromised.
2. Remove unexpected redirects or unsafe third-party content.
3. Check every alternate targeting and expiration URL as well as the main URL.
4. Contact Biqli support when you believe the result is incorrect.

Do not try to bypass a safety decision by chaining redirects or creating another
short link to the blocked destination.

## What is checked

Biqli validates the submitted URL and can use configured reputation services to
identify phishing, malware, deceptive pages, and prohibited redirect patterns.
Alternate targeting and expiration URLs also need to be safe because a visitor
can reach them instead of the main destination.

Safety status can change after creation. A destination that was clear can be
compromised later, and a later review can stop the link from redirecting.

## Request help with a false result

Before contacting support, open the destination directly on a secured device,
check its TLS certificate and redirect chain, and remove compromised scripts or
unexpected forwarding. Then provide the Biqli link ID, blocked destination, and
approximate time of the result.

Do not send hosting passwords or API keys. Biqli cannot mark an unsafe page as
clear merely to keep a campaign running. The underlying risk must be resolved
or shown to be a false detection.
