# Share a Biolink and check visitor access

> Launch a page, test custom domains and access gates, and manage address changes.

Publish the page before sharing its address. Open the public URL while signed out to check what an ordinary visitor receives.

## Launch checklist

1. Confirm the correct domain and alias in [page settings](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/biolinks/settings.md).
2. Publish the intended Content, Header and Design changes.
3. Check the page is active and any supported password, schedule or expiration settings are intentional.
4. Open the URL on desktop and phone while signed out.
5. Follow links, play media and test the intended form, booking or messaging action.
6. Share the copied public address through your chosen channels.

The preview shows staged design. The public URL checks saved content, access, domain behavior and external-provider restrictions.

## Custom domains

Connect and verify the domain in the correct workspace before using it. DNS and HTTPS must be working for visitors. Use [Connect a domain](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/domains/connect-domain.md) and [Domain troubleshooting](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/domains/troubleshooting.md).

Custom-domain visitors can use supported interactions without every action remaining on that domain. Authentication or an external provider may open the main Biqli app or another service. A valid messaging sign-in can return to the original Biolink and conversation.

Test the complete journey, not only the first page load. A working custom-domain page does not prove an embedded player or sign-in flow has completed.

## Access and visibility

| Control | What it affects |
| - | - |
| Page availability | Whether the public page can be opened |
| Page password | Access to the page where enabled |
| Hidden content | Whether that item is displayed |
| Managed destination rules | Whether an individual target can be opened |
| External provider settings | Whether the source can play, embed or accept submissions |
| Indexing preference | How cooperating search crawlers should treat the page |

An indexing preference is not privacy protection. A password does not encrypt every destination or recall content already downloaded.

## Changing or removing a URL

Changing the domain or alias changes the address you distribute. Update websites, social profiles, campaigns and printed references. If using a QR code, check what address the actual code encodes before assuming it follows the change.

After disabling or deleting a page, check separately managed destinations and external accounts before making assumptions about their status. See [Privacy and permissions](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/biolinks/privacy-permissions.md).
