# Customize the Biolink header

> Set the public title, bio, profile image, banner, layout and image shape.

Open the Biolink editor and select **Header**. This area controls the public page identity, independently of the name used to find the page in the dashboard.

## Set up the header

1. Enter the public **Title** and **Bio**.
2. Add a **Profile image** and, if appropriate, a **Banner image**.
3. Crop each uploaded image using the offered controls, then save the crop.
4. Choose the header **Layout** and supported **Shape** or shape variant.
5. Review the result in the page preview and publish.
6. Open the public page at desktop and mobile widths to confirm that the title, bio and crops remain readable.

Success means visitors see the intended identity and images without needing to sign in. Do not put private contact details in the header unless you intend to publish them.

## Images and cropping

Header images can be up to 5 MB. Use a supported, readable image and let validation finish. A crop that looks right for a profile image may cut off important content in a banner, so check each image separately.

Use **Delete image** to remove an image from the staged design, then publish. Changing the profile shape changes its visual framing; it does not change the underlying profile image into a different uploaded file.

## Layout and text

Choose a layout that leaves room for your title and bio. Long names and paragraphs wrap differently on small screens. Review font and color choices alongside the wallpaper instead of judging the header in isolation.

Use [Design and branding](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/biolinks/appearance.md) for page text and button typography. The content picker also has a **Header** block for headings between content items; that block is separate from this page header. See [Text, FAQs and stats](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/biolinks/text-faq-stats.md).

## Recover from common issues

If an image is rejected, check its file type and size rather than renaming its extension. If the new image is visible only in preview, finish the crop dialog and publish. If the title looks clipped, shorten it or choose another layout and verify the public page again.

Changing this Biolink's header does not rename your personal messaging account or change another Biolink's header.
