# Publish image galleries and PDFs

> Upload media, configure captions and links, and test document viewing and downloads.

Choose **Image gallery** for photos or **PDF** for a document visitors can view and download. Both are added through **Content**.

## Create an image gallery

1. Add Image gallery and set its name.
2. Open **Edit images**, select **Add photo** and upload supported images.
3. Reorder photos and review each title, description, optional link and **Show on your biolink** setting.
4. Optionally add a gallery button with a title and destination URL.
5. Choose the display layout, publish and inspect each visible photo.

A gallery supports up to 50 photos. Hidden photos remain configured but are excluded publicly. Hiding the gallery and hiding individual photos are separate choices.

The gallery button and a photo link can have different destinations; test both. Review crops in compact cards and the full gallery, and keep essential subjects away from crop boundaries.

## Publish a PDF

1. Add PDF and select a readable, non-password-protected PDF up to 10 MB.
2. Wait for the file check and preview generation.
3. Enter the title and optional description.
4. Review classic or featured presentation and the thumbnail.
5. Save the dialog, publish and open the document on the public page.
6. Test viewing and downloading on desktop and mobile.

Success means the actual document is readable and downloadable, rather than only its first-page image appearing. Selecting a thumbnail does not upload the PDF itself.

## Replace or recover

Use **Edit PDF** to replace the file, finish validation and publish. If rejected, export a fresh PDF without a password. Renaming an unrelated file to use a PDF extension will not make it valid.

For image errors, check the file type, size and displayed validation message. For download errors, distinguish a browser restriction from an unavailable file and test another browser.

Published media can be copied. Removing content does not recall files already downloaded. See [Privacy and permissions](https://learn.biq.li/help/links/biolinks/privacy-permissions.md).
