# Create a Biolink

> Create a Biolink page and choose its public URL.

From the Biolinks dashboard, select **New Biolink**. Enter a name, choose the domain and alias, then create the page.

After creation, add at least one link or widget in the **Content** tab. Use the live preview to check the page at mobile width, then customize its appearance and settings before sharing it.

Aliases must be available on the selected domain. If the page should not be public yet, disable it while you finish editing.

## Create the page

1. Confirm the active workspace and available Biolink quota.
2. Select **New Biolink**.
3. Enter a dashboard name that identifies the page.
4. Choose `biq.li` or an active custom domain.
5. Enter an available alias for the public path.
6. Create the page and open its editor.

## Prepare it for visitors

Add the most important link first, then add other links and widgets in a clear
order. Configure the background, text contrast, font, and buttons in
**Appearance**. In **Settings**, review the description, active state, password,
and search engine indexing preference.

The live preview omits disabled and out-of-schedule content. It is useful for
layout, but you should also open the public URL in a signed-out mobile browser.

If the alias is unavailable, choose another alias or domain. If a custom domain
cannot be selected, wait until its DNS and HTTPS status is active.
