# Manage pixel links

> Attach or detach a tracking pixel from a link.

`PUT /v1/tracking-pixel/{pixel_id}/links/{link_id}` attaches a pixel; `DELETE` detaches it. Both require `tracking_pixels.update` and `links.view`. The operation is idempotent and returns the two public IDs, the resulting `attached` state, and `changed`. Detaching does not delete either resource.

## Shared API behavior

Authentication is workspace-scoped; see [Authentication](/docs/api-reference/authentication). Errors use the standard envelope and request IDs described in [Errors](/docs/api-reference/errors), and requests are subject to [Rate limits](/docs/api-reference/rate-limits).
